Windy Essaouira is a mobile kitesurf school run by Mohammed Achhibat, Moroccan kitesurf champion and certified instructor. Lessons are designed for people who want to learn properly — with real guidance, real wind, and real progress.
We teach in actual ocean conditions, not shortcuts. Each session is adapted to your level and to the day’s wind and sea state, so you learn safely while building solid skills you can use anywhere in the world.

We teach about 15 minutes south of Essaouira, where the second beach offers more space, fewer crowds, and steadier wind than the main city beach. Choosing the right spot makes a real difference in your progression.

Learning to surf or kitesurf is a personal experience, and choosing the right school matters. Our students come from all over the world and share their experiences learning with us in real wind and ocean conditions in Essaouira.
No. Many students start with zero experience. Lessons begin on land with kite control and safety before moving into the water, so you progress step by step at your own pace.
This depends on wind conditions, coordination, and fitness. Most beginners need 6–10 hours of lessons to reach their first controlled rides. Some progress faster, others take more time — there’s no pressure or rush.
Essaouira has wind most of the year, but the strongest and most consistent wind is from April to October. Lessons are scheduled based on daily conditions, not fixed times.
If conditions are not suitable or safe, the session is rescheduled. Lessons are never forced in bad conditions — wind quality matters more than sticking to a fixed timetable.
Lessons are usually suitable from around 12 years old, depending on conditions and confidence in the water. Private lessons are recommended for kids, providing one-on-one coaching and maximum safety.
