Surf trip from Essaouira to Sidi Kaouki.
Sidi Kaouki sits 25 km south of Essaouira on a long stretch of empty coast. The waves are longer and more consistent than in town, the lineup is rarely crowded, and the village itself feels stuck in time — donkeys, fishermen, a couple of cafes serving fresh tagine. We run day trips a few times a week, usually when the forecast looks better there than in Essaouira.

Sidi Kaouki, the spot.
Sidi Kaouki is a long, exposed beach break that picks up most swell directions. The wave is usually a soft right or left, ideal for intermediate surfers and beginners who want a slightly bigger playground than the town beach. The water is colder than Essaouira by a degree or two — we bring extra wetsuits in case you feel it. There are no shops on the beach, just the village a five-minute walk back.

How the day works.
- Pick up at your hotel or our base around 9am
- Drive 25 minutes through the argan forest to Sidi Kaouki
- Briefing on the beach about the conditions and the lineup
- Two surf sessions with a break for lunch
- Lunch at a local cafe in the village (tagine, salad, fresh juice)
- Back in Essaouira by late afternoon

Levels we welcome.
Beginners can come if they have already taken at least one lesson and feel confident in whitewater. Intermediate surfers will get the most out of it — longer rides, more space, better waves than in town. We adapt the spot on the beach to your level, putting beginners in the gentler inside and intermediates further out where the wave breaks cleaner.
